The Jebal Saghro, is a remote area located in between the High Atlas Mounrains and Sahara Desert area. Saghro mountain 2712 metres, is home for local Berber nomads of Ait Atta Tribes. Saghro massif is volcanic mountain range which forms actually eastern part of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. The special time for hiking tours in Saghro Mountain is from September to May. 7 Days Trek In Saghro Mountain
Day 1 : transport from the airport to your hotel in Marrakech:
any time you get to Marrakech airport day, night, early morning.. whenever you get their you will find your guide and the driver are waiting for you to transport you to your hotel. get your first touch with your guide as he transport you to the hotel he will explain you about the trek and fix the time with you for the next morning to leave to your adventure.
Day 2 : Marrakech to Tagdilt :
After the breakfast in your hotel, your tour leader will come to pick you up and drive you away of Marrakech over the Hight Atlas Mountain over the pass of Tichka 2260m, continue your drive to reach the city of Ouarzazat or the door of the desert and stop for lunch. After lunch you continue driving to your destination the village of Tagdilt at the altitude of 1600 for the night in a small berber guesthouse (gite).
Day 3 : Tagdilt to Amalou-n-Oughyou:
this morning will be your first meeting with our group muleteers who will carry your baggage and the food for the trek. as you leave the gite you walk up over mountain pass and walk through the plateau of Tagdilt to stop for lunch, after lunch a descent will take you to you camp. 5 to 6 hours of walk.
Day 4 : Amalou-n-Oughyoul to Igli:
start the day with the nice breakfast then walk up to the summit of Quoaouch at 2590m, marvelous view to plateaus, gorges.. after lunch a small valley continue you walk to get to Igli for the night. 6h walking.
Day 5 : Igli to Bab-n-Ali:
smal climb after you had your breakfast to get to Tadouat Plateau, beautiful rock forms includes rock called the Face of the Elephant, you will follow the valley to install the beginning of the gorge of Bouwallouz you will stop for lunch, after lunch enjoy your walk along the gorge, sleep in the gate of Bab-n.Ali. 6 hours walk.
Day 6 : Bab-n-Ali to Tifrit:
you will your last day walking through the valley of Irazzoun, nice valley with plenty of almond trees, Hanna, figs and small oases of palm trees, sleep and nice warm shower in a Gite.
Day : 7 Tifrit to Marrakech:
after breakfast you will leave the saghrou region by driving through the film station Ouarzazat, driving over the high atlas mountains, Stop for lunch in Taddart then continue your drive to Marrakech.
