Trekking In Tafraoute Mountains
Tafraoute has the most beautiful mountain range for walking tours and trekking holidays. It is home to many untouched natural landscapes. The early spring is the best time to visit and is the time when the region celebrates the annual almond blossom festival.Treks throughout Amelne Valley, Ait Mansour Valley,
Day 1: Arrive in Agadir, transfer to Aït Baha and the Tanalte Road:
A short warm-up to get to the tents near Tizi Ozzemmour (1100 metres).camping in wild area.
Day 2: Departure for Taghzout (optional ascent to the summit at 1950 metres):
and then on to the village of Mirgane. After exploring several isolated villages in this desolate terrain we pitch camp near Imi N’Taghzout (1600 metres).
Day 3 – 4: walking down to the village of Aït Iftane, camp at Tagdichte :
hiking via an amazing area stop in village at the foot of Jbel Lesk for lunch then across the massif, we’ll take in a magnificent view over the Ameln and Tafraoute Valleys. Then we will walk down to Tagdichte.
Day 5: hiking journey via Tafraoute palm groves:
We will hike against a wonderful sunlit backdrop of ancient pink granite rocks. We’ll have time to explore the forests of palm trees at Tafraoute with its superb old houses. Camp will be set up near Aguerd Oudad (1000 metres).
Day 6: hiking journey to Ait Mansour valley:
Trekking through the village of Dousderm and up to the Amanouz plateau (1650 metres) to Aït Mansour Gorge. Camp is set up in the valley.
Day 7 : Explore palm groves of Ait Mansour:
A walk through the Aït Mansour Valley under the shade of palm trees and a final picnic beside the river followed by the return journey to Agadir.
Day 8 : Transfer back at the evening time to Agadir city
Transfer and departure.
